- Open book session is held in June or July each year; board of
review is held 15 days after open book session. Contact the town
assessor for questions on assessment - not the clerk.
- Property taxes due January 31 and July 31 each year.
First installment (January) paid to the town treasurer; second
installment (July) paid to the Juneau County treasurer. Payment
of the full amount prior to December 31 mailed to the town
treasurer.

Property tax
bills were mailed in December. This bill is for 2009 property taxes
which are payable in 2010. The first installment is due January 31,
2010.
Checks/money orders
should be
mailed to the town treasurer or may be paid in person at the Town
Hall on Saturday, January 23rd and January 30th from 8:30 a.m. to
11:30 a.m..
The treasurer will not accept cash payments.
The second installment should be mailed or paid in person to the
Juneau County Treasurer on or before July 31, 2010.
2010 Town
Budget/Levy
The 2010
Kildare town budget and town levy were approved on November 11,
2009, after a public budget hearing on that same date. The 2010
budget, which includes increased road maintenance funding, is
$373,900, as compared to the 2009 budget of $304,141. The town
levy for 2009 (payable in 2010) remained at $125,000 for the fourth
year in a row. The town’s total valuation increased from
$76,215,800 to $77,984,950. The mil rate for Kildare’s portion will
be $1.60 as compared to $1.64 last year. A copy of the 2010 budget
is posted on the Kildare Town Hall bulletin board and the town
website or you may contact the clerk for a copy.
