SUMMARY OF PLAN
COMMISSION MEETING
August 22, 2007
Present: Members Thomas Guyse, Dennis Franek, Patti Thompson, Penny Arens, and Beth Onofrio and 1 citizen, Linda Winterstein
1. Call to order at 6:15 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Guyse.
2. Public Comments: Beth Onofrio has received a few e-mails and telephone calls regarding the Community Participation Meeting to be held on September 1, 2007. Four people have said they plan to come to the meeting.
3. Motion made by Franek to accept minutes as presented, second by Thompson; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
4. Review Revisions Made to August 1, 2007 Draft Copy of Kildare Comprehensive Plan. A few revisions were suggested, mostly grammatical.
5. Finalize Community Participation Plan:
a. Meeting will be on September 1, 2007 at the Lyndon Village Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
b. Chairperson Guyse will give the opening remarks - welcome, thank you for coming and then introduce Consultant, Linda Winterstein.
c. Linda Winterstein will explain the purpose of the Plan Commission, the progress made by the Plan Commission, and the purpose of the Community Participation Meeting. She has nine questions for the public to respond to. This information will be written down, put in a category, and discussed with the public so a general consensus can be reached. The information will be given to the Plan Commission to evaluate at their next meeting. It was noted that this meeting is to gather ideas from the public in regards to the future of Kildare and is not a gripe session.
d. Refreshments will be provided.
6. Next meeting is on
September 5, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

7. Motion by Onofrio to adjourn, second by Franek; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
