TOWN OF KILDARE
SUMMARY OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
August 1, 2007             

Present: Members Thomas Guyse, Dennis Franek, Patti Thompson, Penny Arens, and Beth Onofrio

1. Call to order at 6:10 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Guyse.
   
    
2. Public Comments: No public comments were made.
   
    
3. Motion made by Chairman Guyse to accept minutes as presented, second by Franek; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
   
    
4. Onofrio handed out an updated draft copy of the Kildare Comprehensive Plan for the members to review. A few changes were suggested and will be made by the next meeting. The Community Participation Plan has to be held before the future goals for Kildare can be developed.
   
    
5. A motion was made by Chairman Guyse to appoint Linda Winterstein as a consultant for the implementation of the Community Participation Plan; second by Thompson. A discussion was held and the following reasons were agreed upon: volunteered her time (cheapest); necessary to have a good public presenter in order to get the most out of the Public Participation Plan (experience); vast knowledge of Town of Kildare from serving as town clerk for many years and attended most meetings of the Kildare Plan Commission (able to answer questions). Motion was carried by a voice vote of 5 ayes.
   
    
   1. Members discussed the steps needed for implementing the Community Participation Plan and came up with the following:
   2. Meeting date and time suggested was Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Onofrio will contact Winterstein to see if this is okay for her. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. to 11.a.m. was suggested as an alternate date.
   3. Notification of the Community Participation Meeting will be submitted to on Mauston, Adams, Reedsburg and Wisconsin Dells radio stations, published in The Messenger and Wisconsin Reminder, posted on the Kildare website, posted at the Town Hall, Lyndon Hardware, Country Corners, Miller’s General Store and at the Clerk's residence. Flyers will also be distributed to residents by members of Kildare's Town Board and mailed to non-residents. An R.S.V.P. will be requested will not be required to attend the meeting.
   4. Chairman Guyse will see if this meeting can be held at the Lyndon Town Hall.
   5. The Commission will finalize the agenda for the Community Participation Plan Meeting at the next Plan Commission meeting.

6.    Next meeting is on August 22, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

Motion by Franek to adjourn, second by Onofrio; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
