*SUMMARY OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
MAY 9, 2007
Present:
Members Thomas Guyse, Dennis Franek, Patti Thompson, Penny Arens, Beth
Onofrio and 1 citizen, Linda Winterstein

Call to order at 6:00 p.m. in the

Public Comments: No public
comments were made.

Minutes of the May 2, 2007 were read by Secretary Arens. Motion made by
Franek to accept minutes as read, second by Onofrio; carried by voice vote of 5
ayes.
4.
McKeough Land Company: Patti
Pieper presented the preliminary plat of Buffalo Ridge. After a question and
answer period it was apparent that the requirements requested by the Plan
Commission were incorporated into the project. Guyse made a motion to recommend
accepting the Preliminary Plat of Buffalo Ridge, second by Thompson: motion was
carried by a voice vote of 5 ayes.
5.
Progress Reports: Guyse has
most of the agriculture data needed; Franek presented the land use map; Onofrio
needs the median age data for 1990; she has begun typing the draft copy;
Thompson needs to contact the assessor for the acreage breakdown; she is
inputting statistical data; Arens is to work on utilities, community facilities,
culture and historic sites.

Next meeting was set for May 31, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Linda Winterstein offered her
guidance regarding the “public participation” brainstorming session (to be
scheduled once the statistical sections are completed) to aid in the creation of
the Plan’s Vision Statement. The
public session will provide input on how Kildare’s citizens visualize the
future of our town.
