TOWN OF KILDARE
*SUMMARY OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
FEBRUARY 14, 2007

Present: Members Dennis Franek, Patti Thompson, Linda Winterstein, and Thomas Guyse and 3 citizens.

1. Call to order at 9:00 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Muller.

2. Administrative Matters:
- Due to the resignation of Leo Muller, there is a vacancy on the plan commission and a vacancy in the chair position. Motion by Winterstein to elect Tom Guyse as vice chair; second by Franek; carried by voice vote of 4 ayes.

2. Public comments:
- RoseMarie Langland submitted her name for consideration as a candidate to fill the vacancy left by Leo Muller. Dennis Franek advised members that Ken Rogge is interested in serving on the commission and that other individuals may be interested.

3. Motion by Winterstein to approve minutes of the January 10, 2007 meeting; second by Franek; carried by voice vote of 4 ayes.

4. Land Division
- Motion by Guyse to recommend approval of the proposed Ganske land division (Town Line Road & 57th Street) and let the board decide how to handle the matter due to the recently enacted land division moratorium; second by Thompson; carried by 3 ayes and 1 recusal by Franek who will be taking action on the matter at the town board meeting.
- A land division moratorium that was on the agenda was not discussed since the board enacted a land division moratorium at its February 14 meeting.

5. Comprehensive Plan
- Members set March 1 and April 5 at 6:00 p.m. for additional meetings to focus exclusively on the comprehensive plan. Commission regular meeting on March 14 will be to discuss other matters, including the plan.
- Guyse presented copies of aerial maps he downloaded. Guyse to meet with JC Land Division Office (Davies). A final decision on where to obtain the maps to be made at the March 1 meeting.
- Motion by Guyse to table discussion on the survey until the March 1 meeting; second by Winterstein; carried by voice vote of 4 ayes.

6. March 1 Agenda Items:
- Comprehensive Plan
- aerial mapping
- community survey results
- statistical data
(March 14 agenda items to be determined at the March 1 meeting)

7. Motion by Guyse to adjourn; second by Franek; carried by 4 ayes. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
