TOWN OF KILDARE
** SUMMARY OF REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
December 12, 2007

Present:  Chairman Dennis Franek; Supervisors Leo Schneider and Dan Lapp; Treasurer Patty Schluter; Clerk Beth Onofrio and 4 citizens.

1. Call to order at 7:07 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Franek.

2. Minutes of the November 14, 2007 Regular Town Board Meeting were read by the clerk; there were no corrections. [Lapp /Schneider; carried.]
   
3. Treasurer’s report was given by Schluter. Total funds are currently $154,239.46. There were no corrections. [Schneider/Lapp; carried] 2007 tax bills are ready for mailing.
   
4. Ambulance/ Fire Dept. Reports:  No December Ambulance Meeting. Franek contacted the insurance company regarding the claim discussed 11/14/07 . a check was issued and cashed – without payment to the Mauston Fire Dept. Kildare is no longer involved.
   
5. NIMS Training – No additional certifications
   
6. Clerks Report: 1) The LUCA materials have arrived; 2) Notice to Steven Wiedemeyer regarding rubbish in the Town’s right-of-way on Lemonweir Ct.   Supervisors will follow-up to be sure action is taken.
   
7. The Plan Commission Report - Tom Guyse. Steady progress is being made. Narrative sections are completed. Review of Implementation element/ finalization of maps slated for January meeting.  [Lapp/ Schneider; carried]
   
8. Public Comments: None

9. Fire Sign & Building Permit applications were read by the Clerk:  James Wagner for an Ag Pole Shed on 24^th Avenue ; Fred DiBenedetto for a garage and deck on 57^th Street ; and a Fire Sign for John & Rita Hall on Cty Rd HH.  [Schneider/ Lapp; carried]

10. Business:
    a)  Amend 2007 Budget as presented. [Lapp/ Schneider; carried]
    b) Clerk cannot locate State Statutes regulating active use of a liquor license within a specific time frame.  Topic to be tabled until such time as applications outnumber available licenses. [Lapp/ Schneider; carried]
    c) Franek discussed developing an Ordinance empowering the Town Board to issue citations to property owners. Topic tabled until January 9, 2008 . [Franek/Schneider; carried]
    d)  Resolution appointing election workers for 2008-2009 term [Franek/Schneider; carried]
    
11. Motion by Franek to pay all bills on the table; second by Schneider; carried.
    
12. Agenda Items for January Meeting:  Use of citations to enforce ordinances.
    
13. Motion by Franek to adjourn; second by Schneider; carried by a voice vote of 3 ayes. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
