TOWN OF KILDARE
*SUMMARY OF TOWN PLAN COMMISSION MEETING

NOVEMBER 8, 2006
 

Present:  Chairman Leo Muller; Members Dennis Franek, Thomas Guyse, Patti Thompson, and Linda Winterstein; there was 1 citizen present

1.  Call to order at 8:20 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Muller. 

2.  There were no public comments.

3.  Motion by Muller to approve the October 11, 2006 minutes; second by Thompson; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.

4.  Comprehensive Plan

     -  Michael Agnew, North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, met with members to expand on his presentation to the town board regarding services offered by NCWRPC.  Specific issues discussed were aerial mapping, demographic data, and initial steps.  Cost for providing 12 aerial maps would be $2,500 and for demographic data $1,500.  Initial steps would be the data gathering process, to include the community survey, demographic and other data, and maps. 

     -  Franek advised that JC Land Information Office has the same types of aerial maps offered by NCWRPC but did not obtain prices.  He will contact Bret Davies (JC Land Information Office) to discuss cost and provide information at the December meeting.

     -  Members discussed possibility that plan commission can gather demographic and other data needed for the plan.  Members to review existing resource list at the December meeting to decide which data will go in the town plan and where it can be obtained (JC Historical Society, Juneau County, Census Bureau, Internet, etc.)  

5.  Next meeting is December 13 with the following agenda items

     -  Aerial Mapping

     -  Data Gathering

6.  Motion to adjourn at 9:15 p.m. by Winterstein and seconded by Muller; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
