TOWN OF KILDARE
MINUTES OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
OCTOBER 11, 2006
Present: Chairman Leo Muller; Members Dennis Franek, Thomas Guyse, Patti Thompson, and Linda Winterstein; there were no citizens present
1. Call to order at 8:20 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Muller.
2. There were no public comments.
3. Motion by Franek to approve the September 13, 2006 minutes; second by Muller;
carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
4. Comprehensive Plan
a. Survey. Winterstein presented final version for review. Motion by Muller to approve survey as presented; second by Thompson; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes. Survey to be mailed out within the next several weeks with a requested response date of December 1, 2006. Winterstein to ask webmaster to include on the town website so that individuals can print out and mail. Individuals can also send e-mail to town clerk asking for copy to be mailed to them. There are approximately 596 property owners/residents, 235 of which reside in Kildare. Members agreed to include Village of Lyndon Station and City of Mauston property owners in the Kildare number of surveys. Due cost considerations, out-of-area surveys still to be limited to 100; selection based on geographical area beginning with the closest municipalities to Kildare, continuing with state-wide Wisconsin and then to bordering states.
b. Resource List. Winterstein distributed a summary of maps, tables, figures and photographs included in recently received comprehensive plans. Franek to contact Bret Davies, JC Land Information Officer, regarding what the county has available for aerial mapping.
c. Initial Steps. Muller advised that Mike Agnew, Senior Planner, North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is willing to speak at the town board meeting and then meet with the plan commission. Agnew can discuss first steps and approach. Mr. Agnew’s presentation tentatively scheduled for the November 8 town board and plan commission meetings.
5. Next meeting is November 8 with the following agenda items:
- Mike Agnew, NCWRPC
- Mapping
6. Motion to adjourn at 9:05 p.m. by Winterstein and seconded by Muller; carried by voice vote of 5 ayes.
