TOWN OF KILDARE
*SUMMARY OF TOWN BOARD MEETING
JUNE 8, 2005
Present: Chairman Dennis Franek; Supervisors Leo Schneider and Dan Lapp; Clerk Linda Winterstein; and 5 citizens
1. Call to order at 7:05 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Franek.
2. Board approved the following:
- Minutes of the May 11, 2005 meeting; no corrections
- Treasurer’s report: $88,949.27 total funds; no corrections
- Clerk’s report (ambulance/correspondence); no corrections
3. Public comments:
- Robert Konemann requested that holes be patched on West Limits Road; board will do so.
- Ted Gunaka raised concerns over the state of various properties in Amherst Acres; board suggested he identify which ones were in Kildare (versus Lyndon) and bring specific concerns with fire numbers to the board.
- Ron Brandt asked when work would begin on 26th Avenue; board advised June 20 was start date with estimated completion of July 17.
- Dave Singer asked about licenses for sale of fireworks and requested discussion of a fireworks ordinance be placed on the July agenda.
4. Permits
- Board approved the following building permits: Darrell Raap for a modular house at N3605 County HH; Mark Kvernen for a pole shed and fire sign on Loesher Road; Richard Jedrzejczyk for a carport at W1970 58th Street; Kim Hall for two decks at N2497 26th Avenue; Archie Wright for a deck at N2291 26th Avenue. Raap’s permit conditioned upon receiving county sanitary permit.
- Board approved following fire signs: David Engelking for a camper off Oak Hill Road; Mark Kvernen for a structure off Loesher Road.
- Board approved the following driveway permit: David Engelking for a driveway off Oak Hill Road.
5, Business
- Board approved 2005 road maintenance contract award to Scott Construction, Inc., as the sole responsible, responsive bidder.
- Board approved the following license renewals for the 2005-2006 year: Lemonweir Campsites; Country Corners Bait & Tackle; Johnston’s Clinic, LLC; Crockett’s Resort; Circle W; Yukon Trails Camping (partial licenses). At the request of the owners, Crockett’s Resort Class B beer license and all Circle W licenses will be held by the town. Board also approved having the Chairman approve the alcohol license renewal application when received from Sherwood Licensing Forest Corporation for the premises known as Yukon Trails Camping.
- Board approved having advertising by businesses on the town website at a charge of $5.00/month for standard ads and $10.00 for banner ads. Clerk to send out letters to local businesses and work out details with webmaster.
- Board approved all bills on the table.

- Fireworks Ordinance
- Sale of Town Tractor
