TOWN OF KILDARE

*SUMMARY OF TOWN BOARD MEETING

FEBRUARY 9, 2005

 

 

Present:  Chairman Leo Schneider; Supervisors Dennis Franek and Robert Konemann, Sr.; Treasurer Patty Schluter; Clerk Linda Winterstein; and 3 citizens

 

1.  Call to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Kildare Town Hall by Chairman Schneider.

 

2.  Board approved the following:

     -  Minutes of the January 12, 2005 meeting; no corrections

     -  Treasurer’s report - $525,563.23 total funds of which $481,060.50 is from tax collections; $401,933.08

        must be paid to county and schools for January tax settlement; no corrections

     -  Clerk’s report (ambulance/correspondence); no corrections

 

3.  Public comments:

     -  Dana Watters requested information on responsibility for picking up dead deer; Chairman Schneider to

         contact the JC Sheriff’s Department.

 

4.  Building Permits

     -  Board approved a permit for Jeff Eden for a house addition at N2351 County N.

     -  Outstanding issue:  non-response by property owner on Old HH Road to town letter of December 13

        and telephone messages by Supervisor Franek; Supervisor Franek to try contact property owner one

        last time before matter referred for legal action

 

5,  Business

     -  Board postponed discussion on Bruce Johnston’s campground plans to the March meeting.  State

         license to be received within next few weeks and Mr. Johnston to discuss plans and submit application

         for a town campground license for approval at the March meeting

     -  Board approved an operator’s license for Stella Szwab, pending completion of required state training;

         she will be employed at Johnston ’s Clinic.

     -  Board adopted Ordinance No. 5(F), which amends the town building ordinance to include requirements

         for culvert lengths and setbacks from public roads.

     -  Board approved amending Town Code of Ordinances to include Ordinance No. 5(F).

     -  Board approved a standard driveway permit form without fee; all driveways must have a permit prior to

         installation.

     -  Town website information has been provided to website designer; cost will be $20/year for domain

         name and $9.95/month for placing on internet.

     -  Board approved payment of all bills on the table.

 

6.  March meeting agenda items:

     -  Bruce Johnston’s campground plans (N3360 County HH)

     -  Draft 2005 road maintenance bid specs

     -  Town website status

     -  Consideration of a town citation ordinance

     -  Town spring cleanup

     -  Set date for annual audit meeting

 

7.  Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
