Kildare is a rural
town with a 2008 population of 635 full-time residents, which still holds monthly Town Board Meetings in
the rustic Town Hall building located at N2592 - 26th Avenue. No town maintained
sewer, storm water system, water supply, wastewater facility, parks,
power plant, health care facility, schools or libraries are located
within the Town limits.

60th Street Public
Access

Two Rivers Boat Landing

A public boat launch/
parking is available at Two Rivers Boat Landing (at the
confluence of the Lemonweir and Wisconsin Rivers) and public
access to the Wisconsin River is available at the eastern end of
60th Street.
River Trails County Park
(on 28th Avenue) offers a beautiful hike through the woods to the Wisconsin River
and is available by County permit.
Kildare has 15 miles of
connecting snowmobile trails with a wooden snowmobile bridge
spanning the Lemonweir River at Old County Hwy HH.
While snowmobile trails
are off-limits to ATVs, about 35 miles of Kildare’s town roads
have been designated as ATV routes. |
