ELECTIONS

There will be four elections held in 2008, 2 primaries
and 2 regular elections:

February 19

Presidential Preference Primary/ Spring Primary for Judicial Offices

April 1 Spring Election for Judicial Offices/County Board Seats
September 9 Partisan Primary
November 4 General Election

Voter Identification:   Wis. Statute 6.79(a) requires that election officials ask each voter to state their full name and address before they can assign a voter number. Please understand that they are complying with state law even though they may have known you for years!

 Voter Registration:  State law requires that all voters must be registered. Contact the clerk or download the form .  A valid photo ID and proof of residence are required. 

Absentee Ballots:  Contact the clerk to obtain a request for absentee ballot form or download the formPlease allow sufficient time for mailing the request to the clerk and having absentee ballot mailed and returned prior to poll closing.  Ballots are available 21 days before the election.

If time does not allow mailing, individuals can complete an absentee ballot request, as well as cast the absentee ballot, before 5 pm November 3, 2008 in the clerk’s office. Please call for an appointment- 608-666-2483.
