ELECTIONS
There are no more
elections in 2009
Voter Identification:
Wis. Statute 6.79(a) requires that election officials ask
each voter to state their full name and address before they can
assign a voter number. Please understand that they are complying
with state law even though they may have known you for years!
Voter
Registration: State law requires that all voters must be
registered. Contact the clerk or
download
the form . A valid photo ID and proof of residence are
required.
If registering by mail, be sure to include a copy of your photo ID
with the same address that is listed on your application. If
your address is incorrect on the license, please provide a copy of a
bill sent to your current address (ie: electric bill) as proof of
residence.
Absentee Ballots:
Contact the clerk to obtain a request for absentee ballot form or
download the
form. You must be a registered voter to receive an
absentee ballot. Please allow sufficient time for mailing the
request to the clerk and having absentee ballot mailed and returned
prior to poll closing. Ballots are available 21 days before the
election.

If
time does not allow mailing, individuals can complete an absentee
ballot request, as well as cast the absentee ballot, before 5 pm on
the day before the election in the clerk’s office. Please call for an
